Hi all - This month I went to my local Enamel Guild conference and took a workshop on Grisaille - a technique in enameling in which you start with a black (or other dark) base and build up a white wash to form your design. This is a challenge for me because I am not a painter and the shadowing is hard. This piece came out good, but the leaves don't "turn" as much as I wanted - I realize I have to make a larger design to get what I want so hopefully my next one will be what I'm looking for.
