Happy Holidays to you all. Well, it's still December and I've completed my last Goddess pin for the year. She is pure Gratitude for being here for another year, for each new day, for being well, being happy, and completing this challenge on time. The shell in her hand is from a local beach, in Hollywood, FL. Here is the link to my website, MermaidsJewelz.com where you can see all of the Goddess Pins I've created for the BJP.
I'm looking forward to this coming year's BJP; however, I'm still deciding what to do. A very healthy and happy New Year to you all.

November Goddess Doll Pin
December is almost half over and I finally finished my November Goddess Doll Pin. She's all about abundance and gratitude. I picked colors which remind me of the Thanksgiving holiday, and naturally, she's smiling as she's the epitome of gratefulness.
Now, to start and finish my December Goddess Doll Pin while still in this month.
What to do for next year? That is the question!

October Birthday Goddess Pin
Well - I thought I had written this several days ago and uploaded it, but I can't find my BJP blog anywhere, so I guess it's another case of CRS (Can't Remember Sh-t). I finished my October Goddess Pin around the 27th. As this is my birth month, I choose to use colors I love. My kitchen is green and purple too.
For her hair, I used two different types of yarn. The bugle beads are for the candles on a cake, although the number is wrong, so they are only representative, and they follow a pattern in the fabric. The yellow circle towards the bottom is yellow jade, and although it looks like the bead holding it in place is loose, it is really tight. I rescanned it a couple of times, and couldn't get it the way I wanted it. I suppose it would have been better to photograph her, but I'm used to scanning and a bit lazy, so.......... Next time, I'll photograph it if I don't like the way she scans.

On time the Rainbow Goddess Pin
Finally, I've caught up with the months. Here is my September Goddess Doll pin, entitled Rainbow Goddess Pin. I'm posting her here instead of linking you to my blog, as I'm almost ready to leave for the airport for a visit with my sister, Karen L Cohen, who is also a member of the BJP.
She is in all rainbow colors with a big smile as this is a great month for me. My CAT Scan was clear and it's a big relief. I've also included spirals, as one of my favorite shapes and the cornerstone of all life. I'm so grateful to be here with you all and able to share.

July's Travel/Wedding Goddess Pin
Hi All -
I'm a bit late with posting this, even though I had finished her by the end of July. We were away, and I had trouble finding a place in which I could scan her. Go to my blog Susan's Food For Thought to see her with a description.
If you're interested, you could read my other blogs about the trip.
August is in the works but not yet completed.

May's Goddess Pin
We were still in Hawaii until the 16th, so this month's journal piece is all about Kauai. I wrote about her in my other blog, Susan's Food for Thought. Somehow my last SFFT Blog went missing after I wrote a note on this Blog and linked to it, so I've included my April journal piece as well. A 2-for-1, so to speak. I'm having a great time doing these and I'm so pleased with myself that they have been on time. Now to start thinking about next month.

April Goddess Pin Completed
We've been on vacation in Hawaii, both on Maui and the big Island, this month. So, my Goddess Doll pin is representative of my trip. I included her in my latest Susan's Food for Thought blog about our travels. If you want to see just the goddess, scroll down until you get to her - no need to read the rest of the blog. However, there's also a recipe to try. I really enjoy being part of this group! Thank you for being.

March Completed
To reiterate, I'm making small Goddess Doll pins each month. Here's March's "Green Springtime." She's green for both St. Patrick's Day and the beginning of Spring. I used glass flowers and leaves to emphasize Spingtime growth. I used a coconut tree button for her face, again for growth and Florida, where I live. I'm going to start blogging again. My blog, SusansFoodForThought, is all about food (what a surprise!), travel (and food), healthy eating for cancer survivors, and beading. I will have a link to my blog from this one starting with my April pin. I haven't blogged in almost a year and am ready to begin again, especially since we're just about to leave for a trip to Hawaii.

February Fairy Goddess Pin
This month's was actually a dual purpose brooch. I'm a member of the Goddess Doll Yahoo Group, and some of those members are also involved with this group. There is a swap going on this month of a goddess pin, and since I'm making goddess pins as my shape this year, I'm swapping my newest creation.
My swap partner likes purple and pink and fairies; this helped me design February's pin. I love pearls, so I used a pink coin pearl for her face (It does hang straight down, but I couldn't seem to manage that with my scanning her.) I gave her a silver pouch of stardust using star sequins and used the same sequins as last month for her boobs. This is my first pair of wings, and I'm really pleased with them; I hope my swap partner will be too. Since it's February, I added a rose quartz heart encircled with seed beads.
I'm still working on my web site, so I'm posting her photo here.
